Notte Bianca tinsab biss jum 'il bogħod u lbieraħ tħabbru l-aħħar preparamenti u miżuri loġistiċi għal din is-serata. Notte Bianca se tinkludi aktar minn 50 prestazzjoni multidixxiplinarja minn artisti lokali u internazzjonali, madwar diversi żoni fil-Belt Valletta.
Il-Ministru għall-Wirt Nazzjonali, l-Arti u l-Gvern Lokali, Owen Bonnici, iċ-Chairman u l-Kap Eżekuttiv ta' Festivals Malta, Aaron Zahra u Frans Agius, u s-Sindku tal-Belt Valletta, Olaf McKay, matul konferenza tal-aħbarijiet ħeġġew lill-pubbliku li se jattendi għal din l-attività sabiex jagħmel użu mit-trasport pubbliku, li se jestendu l-ħinijiet tal-operat tagħhom, sabiex tiġi mitigata l-konġestjoni tat-traffiku waqt l-avveniment. Ġie mħabbar ukoll li s-servizz tal-laneċ minn Tas-Sliema u t-Tlett Ibliet lejn u mill-Belt se jkun qed jopera wkoll b'ħinijiet estiżi sas-sagħtejn ta' filgħodu. Is-servizz tal-Fast Ferry lejn Għawdex mill-Belt Valletta se jżid vjaġġ fin-nofs siegħa ta' filgħodu.
Il-Ministru Bonnici esprima sodisfazzjon għall-fatt li f'din l-edizzjoni tan-Notte Bianca se naraw aktar minn 50 avveniment artistiku u l-parteċipazzjoni ta' aktar minn 250 artist. “Notte Bianca hija festa vibranti, mimlija b'kuluri, attivitajiet u arti. Din hi okkażjoni fejn talenti lokali u internazzjonali jiltaqgħu biex jagħtu ħajja ġdida lill-Belt Valletta permezz ta' espressjonijiet kreattivi mill-aqwa," tenna l-Ministru Bonnici.
Id-Direttur Artistiku, Antoine Farrugia, spjega kif Festivals Malta ħa ħsieb jorganizza kull prestazzjoni f'rotta artistika partikolari sabiex l-udjenzi jkunu jistgħu jsibu l-avvenimenti li jinteressawhom b'mod faċli. Fuq is-sit elettroniku ta' Festivals Malta, wieħed jista' wkoll isib mappa interattiva li tkompli tiffaċilita r-rotta tal-udjenza matul is-serata. Il-pubbliku huwa mħeġġeġ jippjana minn qabel biex jiżgura esperjenza pjaċevoli waqt Notte Bianca.
Ġie spjegat ukoll li min jippreferi li jivvjaġġa bil-vettura personali tiegħu għandu jieħu nota li s-Sibt, 5 ta' Ottubru, il-Belt Valletta mhux se tkun aċċessibbli wara l-erbgħa ta' waranofsinhar u l-aċċess bil-karozza se jkun possibbli biss permezz tar-ring road. Ir-residenti se jkunu jistgħu jidħlu l-Belt billi jippreżentaw il-karta tal-identità tagħhom. Uffiċjali ta' Transport Malta se jkunu disponibbli fuq il-post għall-immaniġġjar tat-traffiku.
Il-Ministeru u Festivals Malta rringrazzjaw lill-Kunsill Lokali tal-Belt Valletta, il-Pulizija ta' Malta, Transport Malta, LESA, Civil Protection Department, Malta Public Transport, Cleansing and Maintenance Department, u l-Lands Authority, tas-sostenn u l-kollaborazzjoni tagħhom sabiex avveniment bħal Notte Bianca jiġi mtella' b'suċċess.

Logistical Measures for Notte Bianca 2024 announced
With Notte Bianca only a day away, Festivals Malta is announcing the logistical measures prepared for the evening. Notte Bianca will include more than 50 multidisciplinary performances by local and international artists across various areas in Valletta.
During a press conference in St George’s Square, the authorities together with the Minister for National Heritage, the Arts and Local Government Dr Owen Bonnici, the Chairman and CEO of Festivals Malta, Aaron Zahra and Frans Agius respectively, and the Valletta Mayor Olaf McKay encouraged the public attending the festival to make use of public transport. These services will extend their operating hours to mitigate traffic congestion during the event. For more information about these services visit this link.
It was also announced that the ferry service from Sliema and the Three Cities to and from Valletta will also be operating with extended hours until two in the morning. The Fast Ferry service to Gozo from Valletta will be operating an extra trip at 00:30 in the morning.
Minister Bonnici expressed satisfaction at the fact that in this edition of the Notte Bianca we will see more than 50 artistic events and the participation of more than 250 artists. "Notte Bianca is a vibrant event, full of colours, activities and art. This is an occasion where local and international talents meet to give new life to Valletta through excellent creative expressions," repeated Minister Bonnici.
The Artistic Director, Antoine Farrugia explained that each performance has been organised under a particular artistic route so that audiences can easily find the events that interest them. On the Festivals Malta website, one can also find an interactive map that further facilitates the audience's route during the evening. The public is encouraged to plan ahead to ensure an enjoyable experience during Notte Bianca.
Those who prefer to travel with their vehicle should take note that on Saturday 5th October, Valletta will not be accessible after 6:00hrs, and access by car will only be possible along the ring road. Residents will have access to the City upon presentation of their residence card. Transport Malta officials will be available on site for traffic management.
Festivals Malta would like to thank the Valletta Local Council, the Malta Police, Transport Malta, LESA, Civil Protection Department, Malta Public Transport, Cleansing and Maintenance Department, and the Lands Authority for their support and collaboration in order for an event like Notte Bianca to be held successfully.
