Programm li jiċċelebra l-arti u l-kultura permezz ta’ prestazzjonijiet multidixxiplinarji
Festivals Malta uffiċjalment nediet il-programm ta’ festivals tagħha għas-sena 2025. Waqt it-tnedija, Festivals Malta ċċelebrat is-suċċessi li kisbet tul is-sena 2024, filwaqt li ppreżentat programm ta’ 11-il festival varjati li ser ikunu qed jittellgħu matul is-sena 2025 fosthom il-Valletta Baroque Festival, il-Karnival ta’ Malta, Mużika Mużika, il-Malta International Arts Festival, il-Malta Jazz Festival, u Notte Bianca fost l-oħrajn.
Il-Ministru għall-Wirt Nazzjonali, l-Arti u l-Gvern Lokali Owen Bonnici qal li b’portafoll ta’ avvenimenti tal-ogħla livell u ta’ kwalità, li b’kollox jammontaw għal 160 attività, dan il-programm mhux biss se jsaħħaħ il-parteċipazzjoni kulturali tal-pubbliku, imma se jkun ukoll opportunità għal eluf ta’ artisti, ħaddiema kulturali, u voluntiera biex juru t-talent tagħhom u jikkontribwixxu għar-rikkezza kulturali tal-pajjiż.
Il-Ministru Bonnici faħħar ukoll it-tmexxija ta’ Festivals Malta għall-impenn bla waqfien tagħhom biex jagħtu ħajja lil dawn l-avvenimenti b’organizzazzjoni professjonali u innovattiva. Il-Ministru enfasizza li Festivals Malta hija xempju eċċellenti ta’ kif l-arti u l-kultura jistgħu jitpoġġew fiċ-ċentru tal-ħajja tagħna, filwaqt li jattiraw kemm il-komunità lokali kif ukoll udjenzi internazzjonali.
Waqt it-tnedija ċ-Chairman ta’ Festivals Malta Aaron Zahra, tkellem dwar il-ħidma li Festivals Malta rnexxielha twettaq matul din l-aħħar sena, b’portafoll ta’ avvenimenti tal-ogħla livell u ta’ kwalità li b’kollox jammontaw għal 160 attività. “Festivals Malta qed tiċċelebra sena oħra ta’ suċċess. Illum inħarsu lura b’umiltà lejn il-bidu ta’ din l-aġenzija u b’sodisfazzjon ninnota l-progress li għamlet matul iż-żmien u fejn wasalna llum. Is-sena 2025 ser iġġib magħha aktar ħidma biex flimkien permezz ta’ Festivals Malta, inkomplu s-sostenn tagħna lejn il-wirt ta’ pajjiżna billi nagħmlu l-kultura aktar aċċessibbli.Nirringrazzja lill-ħaddiema ta’ Festivals Malta għax-xogħol kollu tagħhom, kif ukoll lill-entitajiet pubbliċi u privati, kif ukoll lill-artisti lokali, li flimkien ħdimna biex il-festivals li organiżżajna matul l-2024, kienu kollha ta’ suċċess.”
Il-Kap Eżekuttiv ta’ Festivals Malta, Frans Agius, spjega li s-sena l-ġdida ser iġġib magħha sfidi ġodda għal Festivals Malta, għax apparti l-ħidma fir-rigward tal-festivals prinċipali li jaqgħu taħt ir-responsabbiltà tagħha, ser tkun qed taħdem ukoll fuq diversi aspetti amministrattivi. “Is-sena d-dieħla, Festivals Malta se tkun qed tintensifika l-investiment mhux biss fil-festivals tagħha, iżda wkoll fil-ħaddiema tagħha permezz ta’ taħriġ speċjalizzat li se jkompli jtejjeb il-livell tal-avvenimenti tagħna għall-benefiċċju tal-udjenzi tagħna. Apparti minn dan l-investiment, Festivals Malta se tkun qed tibda’ x-xogħol tal-kostruzzjoni fuq l-Arts and Culture Hub fil-Marsa li se toffri spazji adegwati fejn l-artisti lokali jistgħu jaħdmu u jipprattikaw ix-xogħol artistiku tagħhom.”

Festivals Malta launches the programme of events for 2025
A programme that celebrates art and culture through multidisciplinary performances
Festivals Malta has officially launched its programme of events for 2025. During the launch, Festivals Malta celebrated the successes it has achieved throughout the year 2024, while presenting a programme of 11 varied festivals taking place in 2025, including the Valletta Baroque Festival, Il-Karnival ta’ Malta, Mużika Mużika, the Malta International Arts Festival, the Malta Jazz Festival, and Notte Bianca, among others.
The Minister for National Heritage, Arts and Local Government Owen Bonnici said that with a portfolio of high calibre events, totaling to 160 activities, this programme will not only strengthen the public’s cultural participation, but it will also provide an opportunity for thousands of artists, cultural workers, and volunteers to show their talent and contribute to the our country’s cultural richness.
Minister Bonnici also praised the management of Festivals Malta for their unceasing commitment to give life to these events through professional and innovative organisation. The Minister emphasised that Festivals Malta is an excellent example of how art and culture can be placed at the center of our lives, while attracting both the local community and international audiences.
During the launch the Chairman of Festivals Malta Aaron Zahra spoke about the work that the agency has managed to carry out over the last year, with a portfolio of artistic excellence and quality events, which include around 160 activities. "Festivals Malta is celebrating another successful year. Today we look back at this agency’s roots and we are humbled by how far Festivals Malta has come to where we are today. We welcome the coming year with open arms and strive to keep working so that together through Festivals Malta, we can continue strengthening our country’s cultural offer by making cultural events more accessible. I thank the team at Festivals Malta for all their work, as well as the public and private entities, and local artists, who worked closely with us to ensure yet another successful calendar year."
The CEO of Festivals Malta, Frans Agius, explained that the new year will bring with it new challenges for Festivals Malta, because apart from the work in relation to the main festivals that fall under its responsibility, the agency will also be working on various administrative aspects. "Next year, Festivals Malta will be intensifying its investment not only in its festivals, but also in its team. This will be done through specialised training that will continue to improve the level of our events for the benefit of our audiences. Apart from this investment, Festivals Malta will be starting works on the Arts and Culture Hub in Marsa which will offer adequate spaces where local artists can work and practice their artistic endeavours."
