Festivals Malta trodd ħajr lill-istazzjonijiet lokali kollha tal-koperazzjoni u l-interess lejn il-partrimonju Malti. Dawn il-filmati huma disponibbli wkoll fuq il-Youtube channel u fuq il-pjattaformi soċjali kollha ta’ Festivals Malta.

Din il-kampanja hija biss waħda mill-inizjattivi ta’ tiġdid li Festivals Malta bdiet twettaq sabiex tagħmel il-Festi Nazzjonali aktar aċċessibbli u aktar relevanti għaż-żminijiet tal-lum.

Aaron Zahra, iċ-Chairman ta’ Festivals Malta, qal li “l-għan prinċipali ta’ dan il-proġett kien li jitkattar aktar għarfien dwar il-Festi Nazzjonali li bħala poplu nfakkru u niċċelebraw ta’ kull sena. L-inizzjativa li nediet l-aġenzija fil-bidu tas-sena serviet ukoll sabiex il-poplu fittex aktar informazzjoni dwar dawn l-episodji fl-istorja ta’ pajjiżna, u permezz t’hekk lħaqna ukoll għan edukattiv. Żammejna f’moħħna sabiex il-messaġġ jasal għand il-poplu Malti kollu, partikolarment it-tfal li għadhom qegħdin isiru jafu l-ksibiet li għamel pajjiżna matul iż-żmien. Kburin li Festivals Malta jorganizza dawn l-avvenimenti tant importanti u nħasru ‘l quddiem sabiex inżommu ħajja l-identità tagħna bħala pajjiż permezz ta’ inizjattivi bħal dawn.”

“Jingħad li s-suċċess ta’ poplu u nazzjon jitkejjel mil-livell ta’ kreattività u l-kapacità tiegħu li joħloq opportunitajiet ġodda mingħajr ma jitlef l-identità tiegħu. Dan hu l-iskop ta’ Festivals Malta, dak li filwaqt li jiċċelebra u jfakkar dak li jsawwarna bħala nazzjon ħieles u indipendenti, joħloq opportunitajiet ġodda għal ġid tal-poplu kollu. Huwa f’dan l-ispirtu li kien imniedi dan il-proġett sabiex jibqu jitfakkru d-dati li sawruna bħala nazzjon,” saħaq Frans Agius, Kap Eżekuttiv ta’ Festivals Malta.

Awareness campaign by Festivals Malta about national feasts coming to an end

At the beginning of this year, Festivals Malta launched a project to create more awareness about the historical events that form part of our identity as a country. This awareness campaign was spread over a whole year and will come to an end with the last feature on Republic Day.

For this campaign, Festivals Malta produced five videos with short stories built around all the national feasts, called Ġrajjiet Li Sawwruna, Niċċelebraw lil Malta’. These productions were released on social media, news sites, and on television channels a few days before each holiday - in March - Freedom Day, in June - Sette Giugno, in September - Victory Day and Independence Day, and in December - Republic Day. Festivals Malta thanks all the local television stations for their cooperation and interest in the Maltese heritage. These features are also available on the Youtube channel and on all the social media platforms of Festivals Malta.

This campaign is just one of the initiatives that Festivals Malta has started to carry out in order to make the national feasts more accessible and more relevant for today's times.

Aaron Zahra, the Chairman of Festivals Malta, said that "the main objective of this project was to raise more awareness about the national feasts that as a nation we remember and celebrate every year. The initiative launched by the agency at the beginning of the year also served for the people to seek more information about these episodes in the history of our country, and through this we also achieved an educational goal. We ensured that the message reaches all the Maltese people, particularly the children who are still getting to know the achievements that our country has made over time. We are proud that Festivals Malta organises these very important events and we look forward to keeping alive our identity as a country through initiatives like these."

"It is said that the success of a people and a nation is measured by the level of creativity and its capacity to create new opportunities without losing its identity. This is the purpose of Festivals Malta, which while celebrating and commemorating what shapes us as a free and independent nation, creates new opportunities for the benefit of all the people. It is in this spirit that this project was launched in order to keep remembering the dates that shaped us as a nation," said Frans Agius, Chief Executive Officer of Festivals Malta.
